I’m running the London Marathon this year in aid of the Bay Hospitals Charity, a fantastic organisation that goes above and beyond to support both staff and patients by funding vital equipment, services, and projects that the NHS can’t always provide.
The Admiral Nurse team work at UHMBT to support care for patients with dementia and their families. We receive referrals from ward staff and visit the wards and departments to to assess the person, chat about their care needs and make suitable recommendations to both staff and families giving advice and information as needed. We also support training and development of staff at the trust, teaching them about dementia and enhanced care needs.
I've been proud to work for UHMBT Trust since January 2023 alongside some fantastic colleagues. I feel strongly about what we do and I want to do as much as I can to make a difference to our patients and the care we provide.
