Charities fund LUCAS devices for Emergency Departments

The Lucas Device is a mechanical chest compression system that delivers consistent, high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Unlike manual compressions, which can be tiring and inconsistent, the device ensures continuous and effective CPR allowing colleagues to focus on other critical tasks.

Robert Redfern, Chair of the Friends of RLI, said: "We are delighted to support the Emergency Department by providing this vital equipment. The LUCAS Devices are already making a difference, giving patients a greater chance of survival."
