This is usually in the format of classroom training.  As part of the training programme for next year (2026) we would like to introduce a practical aspect to the training course which includes the use of equipment the staff can use /wear to experience at first hand how it feels to be sight/hearing impaired and struggle with perception and cognitive impairment as a patient on the wards. This will hopefully get staff to think about the patients impairment with first hand experience.
The kit can be purchased to support this training, which we are currently fund raising for this.
